[RHP] CDRs Presents: SVARTVIT, DEAD WOOD, KNIFEDOUTOFEXISTENCE UK TOUR Date
SVARTVIT: Harsh noise violence from The Netherlands. Svartvit is a Dutch harsh noise project that was started in 2008 by sound artist Kevin Jansen. Through the years the project has evolved both in presentation and sound. Starting of as a very monotonous study in textural noises it has turned into a direct channeling of anger, frustration and the questioning of modern day society through sound & performance. Svartvit takes influences from a wide spectrum including but definitely not limited to; Vienna Aktionism, socio-political topics, underground punk music, Russian constructivism as well as his contemporaries like Sword Heaven, The Rita, Prurient & Vomir. DEAD WOOD: Dead Wood is the solo project of composer, improviser, and label-owner Adam Baker, born in Dunfermline, Scotland, and currently based in Wareham, Dorset. Since 2002, across a series of releases and collaborations on a number of international labels (At War With False Noise, Kabukikore, Striate Cortex, Dead Pilot), he has foraged through field recording, digital and analogue drone, sampling, circuit-bending and small-instrument improvisation, crossing categories in pursuit of resonant and mesmerizing sounds. KNIFEDOUTOFEXISTENCE: Outsider electronics. Noise from the South Coast since 2012.
